Research published in Current Psychiatry Reports showed that one could use CBD as a potential treatment for rapid-eye-movement (REM) sleep behavior disorder. But, there have been mixed results, and the research is still at an early stage.

A case study published in The Permanente Journal found out that out of 72 adults who ingested CBD regularly in a psychiatric setting, 48 (66.7%) of them got improved sleep scores and 57 (79.2%) had reduced scores of anxiety, both after the first month of trial. The results varied over time, and the benefits disappeared once supplementation stopped.
